It’s National Nonprofit Day! Today (and/or any day you can) Smith & Berg Partners invites you to join us in recognizing the incredible impact nonprofits have on our communities and the world at large. At SBP, we believe in the privilege of giving back and are proud to support several charitable organizations that make a real difference in people's lives.
What better way to celebrate National Nonprofit Day than getting involved. Whether it’s volunteering your time or sharing your skills, there are countless ways to make a positive impact. Let’s explore how you can contribute to causes you’re passionate about and create lasting, meaningful change in our community.
Why Nonprofits Matter
Nonprofits, often the unsung heroes of our society, work tirelessly to address critical issues and improve lives. From providing education and vital scientific research grants to save lives to supporting the arts and protecting the environment, these organizations fill gaps that might otherwise go unaddressed. On National Nonprofit Day, we celebrate their dedication and the positive change they bring to our world.
SBP’s Commitment to Giving Back
The SBP team shares a lifelong commitment to service and philanthropy. We believe in supporting causes that resonate with our values and have a meaningful impact on our community. Here are some of the outstanding organizations we're proud to support:
Children's Burn Foundation
Children’s Burn Foundation provides child burn survivors and their families comprehensive healing, from life-transforming surgeries to psychological support. As Top Flight Sponsors of the annual CBF Golf Tournament and annual sponsors of CBF's Giving New Hope gala, SBP proudly supports these community-gathering events that raise crucial funds in joyous and celebratory ways.
The Jewish Federation
JFEDLA acts on shared values to create safe and connected Jewish life around the world, providing vital services, including fighting poverty and combating hate and antisemitism.
Concern Foundation for Cancer Research
Concern Foundation raises money for critical research in the fight against cancer, bringing hope to countless individuals and families affected by the disease. Their annual Block Party, held for decades at Paramount's backlot, is a summer spectacular not to be missed.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
The mission: to cure cystic fibrosis by funding research and drug development and advancing high-quality, specialized care. SBP is the annual wine glass sponsor of CF's California Winemasters, held each year on the back lots of Warner Bros. Featuring dishes and wines from top wineries and renowned culinary chefs, Winemasters has raised more than $38 million in support of the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
ACLU, Phase One & NAACP
These organizations, and others, reflect our commitment to civil rights, scientific research to cure disease, and equality for all.
